New Year’s Day, Every Day Cheat

On New Year’s Day, your parents send you a gift of 10,000 bells. To quickly build up your bank account, all you have to do is set your Gamecube internal date to New Years Day (January 1) and then start Animal Crossing and collect your gift of 10,000 bells. Save your game and quit Animal Crossing, then change the date on your Gamecube to New Years Day (January 1) of a different year and then start Animal Crossing and collect your 10,000 bells again! Repeat this as many times as you want, collecting 10,000 bells each time.

Grow a Money Tree

Apparently, money does grow on trees! When you are walking around and you see a sparkly spot on the ground indicating there is treasure there, dig it up. If it is a money bag, don’t keep the money — after you dig it up, go into your inventory and select the money bag and choose to plant it back in the ground and it will be planted back into the hole you just dug it out of. As soon as you finish planting it, a seedling will pop out of the ground and eventually this will grow into a money tree that will have money bags hanging off of it like fruit. You can then shake the tree and collect the money bags! For this cheat to work, the money bag has to be planted back in the hole it came from and it won’t always grow into a money tree. The seedling tree always pops out of the ground, but sometimes they don’t become money trees. But when they do, it’s worth it!
