Crazy Taxi has always been one of my favorite games in the arcade. The home version for the Gamecube is just the same — everything from the crazy drivers and moves to the great soundtrack has made it intact to the Gamecube. So has the difficulty — here are some cheats and codes to help you get that Class A Drivers License.

Turn Off the Fare Destination Square

While driving a customer to their destination, you will see a pulsating square around the place when it comes into view. To turn this off, press and hold the L shoulder button and then press the Start button before you get to the character selection screen. You will see the words No Destination on the screen if you have entered the code correctly.

Play Crazy Taxi With A Taxi Bike

If cars aren’t enough for you, there is also a Taxi Bike that you can drive in Crazy Taxi. To gain access to the Taxi Bike, press the L and R shoulder buttons at the same time three times in a row very quickly when you are at the Character Selection Screen. If the code is entered correctly, you will now be able to select the Taxi Bike.

Unlock Expert Mode Difficulty Level

As if Crazy Taxi wasn’t difficult enough, there is an even harder level — Expert Mode. To unlock Expert Mode, you need to press and hold the L and R shoulder buttons and then press the Start button before you get to the Character Selection Screen. If you have entered the code correctly, you will see the words Expert on the screen.

Play Crazy Taxi “Another Day”

Sometimes, you just want the city in Crazy Taxi to be a little different — as if it was Another Day. To play the game on Another Day, press and hold the R shoulder button while starting a new game. Continue to hold it until after you have selected a Taxi Driver. At this point you should see the words Another Day on the screen if you entered the code correctly.
